Mid-Atlantic Chapter
Membership
The Mid-Atlantic Chapter reserves the right to determine whether your application qualifies you for active, associate or student membership. Further, the Academy reserves the right to determine in which categories, if any, your applications may qualify you to vote on national Emmy® Awards.
Types of Membership
There are three types of membership: Professional, Associate and Student.
Professional members are able submit an entry into the Emmy® Awards competition and attend NATAS programs and events at a discounted rate.
1. Professional Membership
Professional (voting) members must be engaged in the profession of television for at least one full year to be eligible for membership.
Any waiver of this provision must be approved by the Membership Committee.
2. Associate Membership
Associate membership is available for persons in related occupations who are interested in furthering the television arts and sciences.
3. Student Membership
Student membership is available for those enrolled in accredited telecommunication courses in both high school and college.

Tuition Discount
Drexel University Online offers NATAS members discounted tuition on the Online Television Management Master’s Degree Program.
Other undergraduate and graduate degree programs are offered at discounted rates for NATAS Members and their immediate family members.
Special Events
NATAS Mid-Atlantic hosts a number of special events throughout the year, including “Meet the News Directors”, Student Awards and other expert speaker programs.
Networking
Academy Members broaden their own knowledge of the industry through opportunities to meet and exchange ideas with others in their field at a variety of social and professional events.
Judging
Emmy® Awards Judging
What better way to see what work is award-worthy than to judge entries from other chapters? The entire judging process is done online. If you are interested in judging, please email Judging Coordinator Tara Faccenda and be sure to include your area of experience.
All entrants are required to judge annually.
A $50 per entry fee is assessed for entrants who do not judge.
